Core Values

Greenbridge Properties’ Core Values are deeply ingrained principles that guide all of our decisions. Our values guide our team members, security for our clients, and a clear vision for the company’s vision and goals.

DO THE RIGHT THING

  • Always be honest with clients and colleagues.
  • Do not bend or break our values for expediency.
  • Be candid and fearless when admitting mistakes. Describe why it happened and explain how it won’t happen again.

CARE PERSONALLY

  • Treat everyone with respect. It’s not just business. It’s personal.
  • Offer and accept apologies without hesitation.
  • With colleagues: Build meaningful relationships. It’s about acknowledging that we are all people with lives and aspirations beyond those related to our shared work. Find time for real conversations. Get to know each other at a human level.
  • With clients: Keep in touch, respond quickly, build the relationship. Listen intently and make sure they know they have been heard. Admit mistakes. Attack the problem together as a team during a disagreement.
  • With tenants: Tenants are our customers. Consider the hospitality offered to hotel guests. Be empathetic but focus on the facts during disagreements. Remember that we have a fiduciary responsibility to the owner. Be respectful but firm in your decision.

CHALLENGE DIRECTLY

  • Challenge one another directly, debate openly. Up, down and sideways.
  • It’s not mean. It’s clear. Constructive criticism should simultaneously reinforce confidence in your colleagues’ ability while not leaving much room for interpretation.
  • Embrace conflict for an unfiltered debate of ideas.
  • Hold each other accountable.
  • ‘Challenge Directly’ is not a license to be a jerk. Ideological conflict is limited to concepts and ideas, not people.

OWN IT

  • It’s not enough to be better than our competitors. Through continual innovation, we strive to be better than ourselves.
  • Simplify, standardize, then automate. Constantly be looking for ways to cut out repetitive work and make operational processes more efficient and effective.
  • Recognize when there is a problem. One person acts and reports.
  • Get feedback and support from others while still retaining ownership of the problem.
  • Tackle problems head-on. Pick your tools and innovate. Learn from your mistakes.
  • When something isn’t working, change direction without hesitation or guilt.

PLAY AS A TEAM

  • Ask for help.
  • Recognize when someone needs assistance. Know what your peers are working on and focus on achieving collective results.
  • Share a common vision, set individual goals, and row in the same direction. Have an unrelenting focus on clearly defined outcomes.
  • After debating ideas and settling on a plan, all team members commit to the decision.
  • Being open and vulnerable builds trust within the team.
